After making the most of the snow in Seattle (pictures forthcoming) Heather and I drove deep into the Canadian Rockies and spent a week skiing at Kicking Horse: a mountain we have been dreaming about skiing for years. This place lived up to its reputation and delivered the largest amount of technical terrain in one place I have ever seen.
We had plans to ski tour 3 days on the Wapta Icefield in Banff National Park if conditions were stable (they weren't) so instead we spent a day driving around Lake Louise and Bow Lake, where our tour would have started.
We also spent a day at the new ski resort of Revelstoke, which features North America's largest vertical descent of 5620 ft.
Pictures forthcoming.
