Heather and I had a three day weekend, so we went to NY to visit our friend Aaron again and do big city life. I already posted pictures. The first round of pictures with my new camera, the Panasonic DMC-G1.

For my own record keeping, below is a quick list of what we did. Skip it if you don't care.

Saturday (Valentine's Day)
  • Ate bagels in Queens
  • Went to Hell's Kitchen Market
  • Ate Brunch at Esperanto in the East Village
  • Coffee and market shopping in Union Square
  • Walked to Magnolia Bakery
  • Bought and ate cupcakes
  • Shopped on Bleeker Street in the West Village
  • Walked to the Hudson River, looked for planes in the water
  • Got Tea on llth
  • Ate Valentine's Dinner at Miracle Bar and Grill
  • Subway to Brooklyn
  • Attended Piano, Cello, Violin concert in the Old Stone House (site of the battle of Brooklyn)
  • Went to a wine lounge in Brooklyn with Aaron and friend Katie
  • Drank wine until 2am
Sunday
  • Ate bagels in Queens
  • Checked out Battery Park
  • Took ferry to Staten Island
  • and back
  • Walked through Wall Street
  • Went to Brooklyn Heights to Grimaldi's Pizza (voted best in NY)
  • Walked back to Manhattan across Brooklyn Bridge
  • Checked out the WTC site
  • Got overwhelmed by Century 21
  • Went back to Union Square
  • Got Tasti D Lite
  • Went to Max Brenner Chocolate for mochas
  • Went to the Sock Man and looked at socks
  • Got Japanese food for dinner
  • Went to the upper east side to the Carlyle
  • Drank fancy drinks at Bemelmans, enjoyed the murals, and chatted with supposed billionaires
  • Looked for Carie's apartment
Monday
  • Ate bagels in Queens
  • Went to Rockefeller Plaza
  • Went to the top of the rock
  • 'Shopped' Fifth Ave
  • Went to Saks
  • Walked through Central Park
  • Ate more cupcakes from Monday
  • Explored the upper east side
  • got Italian for lunch
  • Walked Broadway to Times Square
  • Went to Bryant Park because it was fashion week
  • Tried to go into the library on 5th (closed)
  • Bought some cookies at Magnolia
  • Came home
