2009 Mountain Activity Roundup.

I love mountains and I love skiing and hiking in them. This past year was the most exciting year yet. I spent 62 days in the mountains across 3 continents and 8 countries.

Backcountry Skiing

26 days, climbed 72,000 vertical feet, and covered 166 miles.
Notable trips included: Eldorado Peak, Mt. Baker, Quandary Peak, and the Rotbühelspitze.

Alpine Skiing

14 days descending 331,000 vertical feet.

Hiking/Backpacking

22 days, climbed 69,500 vertical feet, and covered 202 miles. Notable trips included: Torres del Paine, Fitz Roy, and The Brothers.

For a full summary of the year, there is a spreadsheet.
