Been keeping ourselves busy as usual.

Heather started her first rotation last week, so she has been very busy. Taking advantage of the weather we did an exercise routine amongst the bag pipers and the duck dodgers at Gas Works Park on Tuesday. On Wednesday we went to Joan's Lake and swam across the lake and ate a pizza.

Saturday was Heather's birthday and we had a handful of friends over to Joan's place. We spent all afternoon swimming and drinking beer. Joanna brought her AquaSkipper, which we put together and tried to teach ourselves how to use. It took a number of sinks to the bottom of the lake, but I eventually managed to skip across half the lake. Click here to see what on earth an AquaSkipper is. In the evening we sat in the hot tub and made a bonfire. Thanks to everyone for making it an excellent day.

Sunday Jo and Tony and Heather and I made a hike up Granite Mountain. Bear grass and wild flowers were in full bloom. It was a most spectacular day for a hike. I might post pictures eventually, I might not. At the top we chatted with the fire watch rangers about a massive thunderhead looking cloud by Mt. Adams. Turns out it was actually a fire.

David and I had long standing plans to climb/ski Mt. Adams this weekend. But we would rather not catch on fire, so it looks like we may climb/ski Mt. Hood instead.
