I'm not sure what I did last Wednesday, but Thursday night was a board's celebration party at Ty's. On Friday we traveled to Bellingham to watch the International Basketball League championships. Lukas plays for Bellingham, which won the basketball world series on Friday.

Saturday David and I went to Mt. Hood. We hiked up to 9500' Saturday afternoon where we camped, watched a spectacular sunset, cooked some sausages, and then ate those sausages while the lights of Portland and the stars came out.

Sunday we made a push for the summit. We sat on the summit, enjoyed the view of Washington, and then lit a little fire on the top of Mt. Hood to make a giant birthday candle to celebrate David's 25th birthday.

Like good mountaineers, we brought our skis along and had a riot skiing all the way back down to the car.

I have a bundle of good pictures, but I have been writing reports all week and my eyes are a bit bleary. It will be a bit before I post some pictures.
